Solar shades operate similarly to roller shades but offer different benefits and functionality, specifically for filtering sunlight. Solar Shades - Defined
Solar shades operate the same way as roller shades but are made of woven fabric designed to block glare and UV rays. You can get Designer Roller Shades in various opacities, ranging from sheer to blackout for complete light control. Alongside these kinds of solar shades, there are also Designer Screen Shades, made to transform sunlight while still allowing you to maintain your view of the outdoors.
The Benefits
One of the most significant benefits, especially today, of solar shades is their ability to save you at least 15% on your energy usage. How? By deflecting UV rays, Designer Screen Shades stop the heat before it enters your home, so you have less hot air that needs to be cooled. They also make heat escape difficult, so your home stays more comfortable on chilly days.
How often have you tried to watch TV or use a computer or tablet and moved to a different spot in the room because of an annoying glare? Two roller-style shades will still provide a sleek, uncluttered look while allowing you to close both shades when light blockage and privacy are more critical than deflecting heat and having a great view.
